The Prayer That Became an Umbrella

Well Umbrella Enterprise did not begin with a traditional business plan.

It began in the secret place of prayer.

There was a season in my life when God gave me a clear command: pray for 365 days.

Day after day, I returned to that place of prayer. Through changes, challenges, obstacles, difficult terrain, busy schedules, personal responsibilities, uncertainty, and moments when it would have been easy to stop, I continued. I did not miss a day.

For the overwhelming majority of those 365 days, there was no crowd watching. There was no large platform. There was no applause. There was no visible evidence that something much bigger was being built.

Most of the time, my audience was One. God.

What appeared to be a year devoted only to prayer was actually a year of preparation, consecration, training, listening, development, and Kingdom alignment. I went into the secret place believing that I was simply obeying an instruction to pray. I came to understand that I was living the principle Jesus taught in Matthew 6:33.

I sought the Kingdom first. Then the “things” began to unfold.

Ideas came. Assignments became clearer. Resources began taking shape. Brands were birthed. Initiatives emerged. My prophetic responsibilities became more defined.

What initially appeared to be separate ideas began revealing themselves as parts of one larger assignment — different branches, one assignment. And through it all, the covering held. The prayer became the umbrella. The year in the secret place became the foundation of everything that now stands under it.
